Lodge St. Olaf introduced it’s own jewel which is presented to brothers for distinguished service to the lodge. The honour is generally bestowed upon a deserving brother for services rendered to the lodge and the craft by a retiring Right Worshipful Master during his last evening in the chair, although the award is not routinely given at this time, but only when it is the agreed desire of the lodge to do so. The Jewel itself was specially commissioned by the lodge and depicts the distinctive lodge logo a Viking warrior with winged helmet featuring the square and compasses. The St. Olaf Jewel has been awarded to only 6 lodge members, all stalwarts of the lodge. Sadly three of those are no longer amongst us, PM Bro. Fred Warrander and his older brother John who served as tyler for over 25 years and PM Bro. Jim Stewart IPPGM.
